Become a Trustee

The role of the Trustees is to have overall control of the charity and ensure it is doing what it was set up to do.

There are, broadly, 6 duties which a Trustee undertakes:

1. Ensure that the charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit

2. Comply with the charity’s governing document and the law

3. Act in the charity’s best interests

4. Manage the charity’s resources responsibly

5. Act with reasonable care and skill

6. Ensure the charity is accountable

The trustees are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Being a trustee means making decisions on what the charity does, making a difference to the community.

Day to day operation of the Club is the responsibility of the Manager.
