The week we are talking to Aimee, a great member of the team.
Tell us about yourself: I’m 25 years old and I have lived in the village my whole life. I started working at ECRC in September 2024, and it’s been a real pleasure working under Sue and being part of such a vibrant team. When I’m not at work, I’m usually doing something creative or tucked away in my office honing my video editing skills. I love watching movies, catching up with friends, and spending quality time with my family.
Tell us about your role at ECRC: My role at ECRC is a bit of a mix, which I love. I mainly work behind the bar, pouring pints for our lovely punters, and I also help out in the Cafe, serving our delicious food made by our amazing Chef Chris. Some days, I’m putting up badminton nets or booking courts for the community to enjoy. No two shifts are ever the same, and that variety is what helps keep our brilliant Rec running smoothly!
What is your favourite thing about ECRC: My favourite thing about ECRC is the strong sense of community. Everyone who walks through our doors is greeted with kindness and respect, and that energy is always returned—it makes this a really special place to work in. I also feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a great team. The bonds I’ve formed with my co-workers make me genuinely happy to work here.
