Get to know the Team of ECRC, This week we are talking to Sue Freear - Club Manager.
Tell us about yourself: I am a proud mum of three, 23, 17 & 12. I enjoy spending time with my family, going out with Hudson our collie and I love a puzzle!
In my early years I trained at a store manager with a supermarket chain. I then moved over to clothing retail where was employed by designer labels to manage their stores. Once I had my first child I decided to retrain in the industry of health and fitness where my passion falls. I love to help people whether that is mentally, practically or physically. I want people to see them selves as the good people they are, and achieve their aspirations. Its a tough old world out there and we have to look after each other.
Tell us about your role at ECRC: In 2008 I was employed by ECRC to help set up and run the newly equipped Fitness Suite. When Peter Webb decided to step down as Manager for the club I saw my opportunity to combine all the things I love, Fitness, Managing, ECRC and the community.
My responsibilities include - scheduling the repairs, Payroll, invoicing, serving the members, social media and website and so much more which we don't have the time to list.
What is your favourite thing about ECRC?: I love that we are a small team, we bounce ideas around, we laugh daily and work so well together.
During our Social events, there’s often a moment where I can pause and simply take it all in—the laughter, the smiles, families and friends enjoying each other’s company. And in that moment, I look over at my hardworking team and feel a swell of pride. It’s times like these that remind me exactly why we put in the effort. All the planning, organising, and late nights—it all feels completely worth it he hard work feels worth it.
